Merry Christmas (and Happy Holidays!)

I haven't posted in quite awhile - will try to add some new content after the New Year - but for now, just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Here are some images from the WhuddleWorld Holiday Scrapbook.

  2. Hello! I played Whuddle World as a kid with my mom and I remember really enjoying it! I was so sad it shut down. The art style has stuck with me for years and I've been trying to find more images of the game for nostalgia's sake. I feel like I remember a crane game where you could win a cute little puff shaped creature that you could put on your avatar's head. It might be a long shot, but I'm wondering if you could please possibly share any pictures of information about that if I'm remembering correctly? ^^
Thank you so much for sharing information about this game! It's so hard to find anything online. I've gone through the Wayback Machine but unfortunately most of the archived site seems to be limited to pre-login pages :(
Thank you again and I hope you've had a nice winter!!

    1. It was the same for me, I was so young and it helped me learn to read english better as a kid. I miss this site so much.

  3. Thanks for the kind words - I honestly believe WhuddleWorld would still be wildly popular today, almost 2 decades later. But then, I suppose I am a bit biased. ::grin::

And the game you are talking about was called exactly what you remember, "The Crane Game". The little stuffed puffballs you could win (and yes wear on top of your Whuddletar's head) was called a capelka and came in all shapes and sizes. I have some potentially interesting news about those - well, I may have, in the near future. But I'll just leave that horrible teaser for now and if anything comes of it will of course post here on the WYR blog. :)

  4. Oh, almost forgot - the Crane Game was a flash _and_ layered... Meaning, in short, that without the live site running, all I have mostly is the bits and pieces that were used to create the game and whuddle wearing them and a now VERY outdated flash file. But I"ll see what I can dig up to post here in the future. Thanks so much for your interest.
