Who's Who in WhuddleWorld - Part 2

Continuing from the previous post on this topic, here are a couple more characters from the good ol' days of WhuddleWorld.  As I said in that post, I think the document these descriptions were taken from was some sort of presentation "rough draft" or something - but I do find the character descriptions amusing.  They are a bit "uptight" in their own way.  But still fun to visit as a blast from WhuddleWorld's past...

CK Clagget

CK Clagget – CK is WhuddleWorld’s resident head of security. He is a member the Elder Council and also runs the Whuddleville Hoosegow (Jail). He prefers to be called “Deputy” or “Sheriff” and is a very friendly, unpretentious fellow. He talks with a thick southern drawl, and chooses to dress in a manner reminiscent of “the old west”. He was peripherally involved in the “Where Oh Where are the Shops” (WOWS) quest, and is best known for his quiet role in overseeing all the misbehaving Whuddles. He is also an outspoken proponent for general computer and Internet Safety on WhuddleWorld.

Violet

Violet – Violet is rumored to be romantically tied to CK Clagget, however, WhuddleWorld doesn’t spend a lot of time on such things - so though it’s hinted at, it’s never been a mainstream storyline. She runs the local hairdressing Salon and also talks with a bit of a southern drawl. She’s very chatty and friendly, and considered to be fairly sophisticated stylist, in spite of her rather unique and somewhat “frumpy” appearance.

Goban Greenbottom

Goban Greenbottom – Goban is a member of the mysterious “Bottom Clan” – a group of wanderers known as Wanderkins. Goban, along with three other Wanderkins – Liam, Hilda and Fearghus, run a traveling merchant bazaar that appears randomly, with little warning in various spots in WhuddleWorld. Wanderkins are known for their talent as skilled artisans and craftsman, and their particular resistance to mainstream rules and protocol. There is a HUGE back-story that was alluded to/slightly revealed in the “Where Oh Where are the Shops” quest, that also involved the signing of a Trade Agreement between the Elder Council and the leader of the Bottom Clan, Liam Bluebottom.

 Part 3 Coming soon!

  1. Hello, Dee!

My name is Mik, and I'm a 22 year old who never got to experience the gameplay of Whuddle World myself, but did get to experience the joy of watching my mom play as a young child, probably about 4 to 7 years old.

I found this blog in the r/forgottenwebsites Reddit thread where you linked it, and thought I'd read about it since I was too young to really know what was going on in the game besides the dress-up aspect of it.

I just wanted to thank you for all of the great memories you helped make by being apart of the creation of WhuddleWorld.

I remember watching my mom play, dress up her Whuddletar, and use the gashapon machine. I would like to think that this game is what made me enjoy dress up games, and dressing up in real life so much.

The earliest thing I can remember drawing was my mom's Whuddletar, and I am now an artist partly as my profession, partly as a hobby.

I'm sad to hear that you've been facing health issues and I wish you the best. I have systemic sclerosis myself and the condition makes it hard for me to do the things I love, as my hands lock up and it becomes painful for me to make art.

We're all in this fight called life together. I hope you keep shining.

    Mik
